EDM Challenge #68 - Draw your computer

My computer is (surprisingly) my new best friend. I have really enjoyed the world it has opened up to me. I have met more people of like interests through my computer in the last few months than at any other time in memory (probably doesn't mean anything). I have received freely given positive criticism and those with negative opinions have kept them to themselves. It has been the best venue for my art that I have yet found.
The conundrum is that the more this works for me, the more I am motivated to work, the more work I produce, the more I am motivated to post, the more I am motivated to surf, and lur, checking the work of other [who are working - not lurking!] and the consequential lack of priduction is, motivated by those I saw while lurking, replaced by working, working, working, which I then post, which leads to...

GREAT sketch, Jan! And you've nailed the conundrum on its head!!! SO VERY TRUE!!!! If I ever get off the computer and do more art -- I too am right back to posting and drooling over everyone else's! Love your words --and your computer!

Gotta agree 100%!!!! Great drawing. I love my pc too and the art I see and the inspiration I get is incredible, I couldn't give that up - but then I'm not drawing. I'm trying to do both but it's difficult!!

Your equation for work is interesting ;-)

Have you seen the website deviantART before?

Keep up the cool work!

I really like the sketch and love the "productivity graph"! LOL. Also - I really like your style of printing/writing. Very distinctive and artful.
Cheers! Mary Ellen

I'm in the same boat along with the rest of you when it comes to shared time between my pc and my drawing/art - not to mention daily life! But the flip side of the time on the pc is that through various art related sites, I'm learning so much! It's like having a library and art school right at your fingertips. Even as little as 5 years ago, I shunned the computer thinking one computer person in the family was enough... I've since thought how much richer my life has become through new friends and new interests.

I love the quality of your lines in all of your drawings and your writing. You have the ability to make a computer look organic and a really neat way. Thanks for the tip about the gray markers!
