EDM Challenge #69 - Draw a beverage

Just a quick sketch of my wine tonight. Used the same nib as in lower left (previous post). Also did thick outline of the frame with same nib as in lower right (previous post again) and was VERY disappointed in the way the Moleskine paper just sucked the life out of the line! (Is that the wine talking? I might try this challenge again later in the week with coffee and see what effect that has on the result!)

I like the way this glass looks a little drunk itself.

Moleskines just suck/soak up everything, I think!
But I like the freedom of the sketch.

Great drawing, nice shadow work! Moleskins, seems you either love them or hate them. I don't think it's the wine...

I'm impressed Jan! I'm even tempted to work on EDM Challenge #1 for myself (I've just looked it up.) It would give you a chuckle, I'm sure. I don't even know if I have a suitable pencil to draw with. SB

I don't know what the drawing looks like in person, but on my screen it looks charming---that's the word that comes to my mind when looking at your drawings in general. I really like the washes you've laid down in the glass and in shadows. Btw, I'm not attracted to moleskines---they are too small and too oppositional for my work and my personality ;D. Good luck with yours, though--clearly, many people love them.

I just happened to stumble across a black Faber Castell pen, and fell in love with it. I am thinking about buying a set for color and/or shades of gray.

I have a few recent drawings on my blogger website using the Faber Castells.
